Last year, we did a post about how to make a lovely Pierrot costume like Spring's: read our extended notes on making a Pierrot. Pictured here: Tunic Pattern by Made by Rae; Collar by Lucille; Pom Pom tutorial by The Sweetest Occasion and Knitting pattern for slippers by Carrie Bostick Hodge. This week, we'll be posting more Halloween costume ideas inspired by our Halloween story, stay tuned!
Licorice allsort costume
Inspired by Spring's rollerskates in our first story, "Windy's Lost Kite", with their licorice allsorts wheels (yes, they are real ... and yes, many of our supplies "disappeared" from the art department work tables, heh heh), we present: the licorice allsort costume. Cheap, cheerful, no mess and materials under $10 ... if you make one please send us a photo!
Materials: black clothing, white cardboard box, duck tape from the hardware store in black + and one bright colour (we like flamingo pink, too). Make yourself some duck tape suspenders and tape some stripes around the box. Done!
We're all over the place!
Our most recent apps, "Meet Windy & friends" and "Sunny's Hootenanny" are the first two featured apps for kids on the App Store (iTunes) — hooray! It's a big deal for a small independent series like ours :)
Meanwhile, we are taking a well-deserved holiday ... first stop: Paris!
Heading off for the holidays with two NEW apps and one of them is FREE!
We are running to catch our flight! Hope we make it ... Guess where we are going in the comments below. If you guess correctly we'll send you a copy of Small Wonder featuring our own Sunny!
Before we left, we finished up all our homework and we have left TWO new apps on the iTunes store for you and one of them is FREE!
Our newest appisode is "Meet Windy & friends" on iTunes and on Google Play!
This gentle app is full of simple educational games, perfect for kids 3+.
The great news is that it is ***FREE*** on the App Store!
Our other new appisode might just be our favourite: "Sunny's Hootenanny"
This sweet story teaches us how to identify the basic elements of music and once we learned them, we made our own music video! See it in the grand finale of "Sunny's Hootenanny"!
and Google Play
and on Amazon!
The Windy & friends channel
We've started a channel on YouTube!
Our first video is Spring's Easter Egg Hunt. We've adapted it from our app by recording the interactive footage from our story and putting it together. So you can watch as an animation, now.
As always, our stories are short, silly and gentle. Let us know if you have any requests!
New on Android! Spring's Easter Egg Hunt
Spring's new madcap adventure is out, just in time for Easter!
Follow Spring’s Easter egg in a mad cap caper when it's knocked out the window of her science lab! It travels through a syruppy pancake breakfast and then right into a pile of confetti ... oh what a mess! The egg travels farther and farther away as it bounces through Sunny's music room and gets caught in a game of Ping Pong at Jean-Cloud's campground. What is Spring's plan to find her egg? Some clever calculations and a little help from a friend just might work...
iPhone or iPad user? Don't worry, Spring's Easter Egg Hunt will soon be available on the AppStore. In the meantime, we have several apps already for Apple users: take a look!
